About the class

Public speaking and presentations are a very big topic. In this workshop we will take a look at some of the fundamental building blocks for creating better presentations. We will also talk a little bit about how to deliver presentations. The workshop will be interactive and audience participation is encouraged. We will be discussing the following topics:
Fear - Most people are very uncomfortable speaking in front of an audience. We will briefly talk about where this fear is coming from and a few ideas for how to deal with it.
Building Blocks of a Good Presentation - Before we can deliver our presentation, we must create it. We will look at a process for creating our presentations.
How to say it - A brief discussion about how the way we say things can make a big difference when delivering a presentation. Public speaking and communication are essential skills for anyone, but especially entrepreneurs and change-makers. We constantly find ourselves in situations where we need to communicate our point of view to different stakeholders: customers, vendors, partners, public officials, donors etc. Imagine how much more effective you could be in pushing change if you could communicate your message clearly, concisely and purposefully.
